Same city, different team: Westbrook already in talks with Clippers
It’s been a few days since the transfer window ended, but one of the key players continues to attract attention. Russell Westbrook left the Lakers for the Jazz in a move that also involved the Timberwolves, but he probably won’t play for either team.
We shouldn’t rule out the possibility of him staying with the Jazz, but the truth is the point guard is already negotiating another move and the Clippers are his preferred option.
Despite the fact that the Clippers are at their best, the other two stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George There are plenty of other teams knocking on the 2017 MVP door. His departure from jazz was due to a buyout, so that his new team does not have to bear the very heavy burden that his contract has brought, and The Bulls, Wizards and Heat have also asked questions about Westbrook’s situation.
The nine-time All-Star has already given up on being a fancy understudy in the NBA. He’s not bad in numbers (15.9 points, 7.5 assists and 6.2 rebounds this season), but his best days are over and we’ll have to see which team jumps into the pool for him.
