Tavares will help Cape Verde with the aim of making history
Eddie Tavares sheds his Real Madrid jersey and dons one with the national crest to help Cape Verde qualify for the 2023 World Cup.
Cape Verde are bidding for their first World Cup appearance in 2023 and Eddie Tavares will do everything in his power to help his country’s national team make history.
The fierce centre-forward had to play just 16 minutes against Zalgiris on Matchday 25 of EuroLeague after the Queen clinched a very comfortable win, allowing him to go home relatively rested to integrate into his country’s national team and into the two of the three remaining games to play the qualifying windows.
More specifically, Tavares, who will cover his travel expenses knowing that the Cape Verde FA’s financial resources are limited, will not have time to attend the game against Guinea but will normally attend the games against Angola and Ivory Coast.
