Barcelona take on Zalgiris and remain at the top of the EuroLeague

Not the best team of the season but Barcelona keep winning and chasing the top of the regular season. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team confidently prevailed on Thursday evening (2/3) against Zalgiris Kaunas (93-74) in a game for the 26th game of the EuroLeague and with Nikola Mirotic again at MVP level.

Barcelona went up to 18-8 (10-4 h and 8-4 a) which was alongside their superstar (28 points, 6/7 doubles, 3/6 trebles, 7/7 shots, 27th in 26 minutes). Tomas Satoranski was in good form, had a shocking assist/error ratio and wasn’t particularly worried by the Lithuanians.

At 13-13 Zalgiris (9-3 home and 4-10 away) lost ground in the pursuit of the top eight. Kazis Maksvitis did not see anyone in a tolerable condition, the Kaunas team does not play well away from their country and apart from the honor of Rolands Schmitz, who returned to Palau Blaugrana as a rival, there was no other good moment for the Lithuanians.
