Los Angeles Lakers retire two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol’s jersey

The Lakers have retired number 16, which was used by Spanish forward Pau Gasol, according to the team’s press service.
The ceremony with the raising of the game jersey under the arches of the arena took place before the game with Memphis (112:103).
Gasol played in the NBA for Memphis, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago, San Antonio and Milwaukee. As part of the Lakers, he became a two-time NBA champion (2009, 2010). As part of the Spanish national team, Gasol became a silver (2008, 2012) and bronze (2016) Olympic medalist, world champion and three-time European champion.
