NBA, Antitokunbo: “I wasn’t trying to avoid fouls, I won’t allow easy nailing”
Giannis Antitokoumbo spoke about the great performances from Holiday and Middleton after the great win against the Suns, but also how he handled the multiple fouls he was charged with early in the game.
The Bucks pulled off a great win over the Suns, with Giannis Antetokoumbo being penalized for an early foul and staying on the bench for a few minutes. After the game ended, the Greek freak stood on the excellent performance of Holliday and Middleton coming up front and how he managed the game as he entered the court.
He also spoke about his tough game and the fact that he won’t let his opponents make easy shots, while also discussing his personal life, which he tries to keep out of the spotlight.
“Holiday and Middleton were great, they covered the field aggressively and defensively. Coming in I tried to keep up the pace they had built to be as tough as they were. I had to keep that up and help as much as that I.” could.
Jordan just did what he had to do and was aggressive. He shot at difficult opponents and his teammates sought him out. One possession, 2-3 points can change the game. I tried to push as hard as possible while lying on the floor. You want to stay grounded even with 5 fouls, but at the end of the day I don’t let the other team just nail it. Like Eaton. Go under the basket but I committed the foul. I didn’t try to avoid fouls.
I try to keep what I do with my family away from the public as much as possible. I try to be myself and stay away from the lights. I want to be the best brother, father, partner and son that I can be. At the end of the day, you want that part of your life to be private. “When I have time to be with them, I try to make it as private as possible.”
