Galatasaray came back from -15 to win the city derby ahead of AEK
Galatasaray showed personality, coming back from -15 in the first third and celebrating victory over Darussafaka (71-65) in the Istanbul derby. Let’s turn to the “finale” with AEK in Ano Liosia.
Three days before it faced AEK in Ano Liosia (March 15, 7:30 p.m., Cosmote Sport 4HD, Match Center on Sportish) in a “final” of the Basketball Champions League qualification for the two teams, Galatasaray achieved a big win in the BSL.
Andreas Pistiolis’ team came back from -15 in the first leg and beat Daroussafaka (71-65) to gain confidence ahead of the trip to Athens. Dylan Ennis (21 points, 9 rebounds) was the one who carried the gim bomb in offense, with Sadik Kambaja (14 points, 6 rebounds) and Dusan Ristic (14 points, 9 rebounds) acting crucially.
THE DECADES: 4-19, 27-32, 47-48, 71-65.
