Maxim Shulga to play in NCAA playoffs
Maxim Shulga, defender of the Ukraine youth national team “Utah State”, has reached the NCAA playoffs. Utah State lost in the Conference Finals, but advanced to the playoffs by decision of a selection committee.
The Ukrainian team took 10 seeds in the South region of March Madness. Alabama received the first planting of the region, the second – Arizona.
In the first round, Utah State will play Shulgi with the University of Missouri. The match will be played on Thursday, March 16 at around 19:20 Kiev time. The winner of Utah State-Missouri will play the winner of Arizona-Princeton.
Playing an average of 31.1 minutes per game this season, Shulga scored 12.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 34 games, scoring 36.9% three points.
