NBA: Great Spurs win over Lakers on historic Popovic night
Legendary coach Greg Popovic needed just one win to equal Don Nelson’s record for the highest in NBA history, and he did so after the Spurs’ 117-110 win over the Lakers.
Spurs earned a terrific 117-110 win over the Lakers in San Antonio on a night of historic significance for legendary home team coach Greg Popovic. With his team’s win over the Los Angeles team, Popovic equaled Don Nelson’s record for most wins in the NBA and now he’s just one win away from breaking it and another golden page in league history to write.
In the match part, the hosts were clearly superior to the “Lakers” and at gunpoint through Murray, they rose to 25-40 for the season. The Lakers, on the other hand, playing without LeBron James and still struggling with themselves, fell to 28-36. Leading the winners was Murray with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Westbrook with the Lakers had 17 points with 10 rebounds and Horton-Tucker had 18 points.
