The legendary Abdul-Jabbar sold his championship trophies. The reason is known
Former National Basketball Association player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has sold four championship rings, three MVP awards, and other memorabilia. The 75-year-old former basketball player took this step to assist the youth education program.
Abdul-Jabbar reportedly sold his rare items in 2019. He allegedly received about $2.8 million for them.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is a six-time NBA champion (1971, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988), was recognized as the most valuable player in the league finals twice (1971, 1985). Karim has been the NBA’s most valuable player of the season six times, and has appeared in the NBA All-Star Game 19 times.
Recall that this season, Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James scored 38,390 points, breaking Abdul-Jabbar’s record for NBA points (38,387 points). The new record holder has not been able to play recently due to injury.
