Prometheus – Ulm 79-68: Agravanis and Grant beat Lakovic’s team

Prometheus clinched its fourth win in 13 EuroCup games on Tuesday evening (March 8th) when it beat Ulm 79-68 in a game for the 14th game of the tournament’s regular season. The Patras team reached +22, against the Germans, who fell to 6-8 (3-4 home and 3-4 away).

Great match by Jeray Grant (22 points, 8/11 two points, 6/8 shots, 11 rebounds) followed by Agravanis, Simpson, Andrits and Kendrick Ray, who perfectly organized his team who had triple assists from errors. Ulm has a tragic outside shot percentage, with Semaji Kriston being the top player and Herkenhof-Zugic following.

The race

With Agravanis – Grant doing a good job near the basket, Prometheus came into play dynamically and built up a small six-point lead towards the end of the season (19-13) before Rogavopoulos with five straight and Gaddy with 11 closed the gap (34-23) at 17′. At halftime, the hosts had 14/25 twos but also four missed shots in six shots executed, while the visitors had 2/15 threes and 10 errors on just six final passes.

With Grant unstoppable and Andric backing him up, Prometheus went to +17 (48-31) in 26 minutes and +22 (58-36) in 28 minutes, with Ulm continuing to shoot poorly from the region but finding ways, nine goals to score (66-57) in the middle of the fourth period. But he couldn’t do more. Andric made the big basket for 69-61 in 37′ and from that point Prometheus didn’t look back.
