Fenerbahce found the medicine in defeating Besiktas
The course of the two teams is diametrically opposed, so that Fenerbahce didn’t let themselves be burdened in the game against Besiktas (95:80). Dimitris Itoudis was not used by the three Greek internationals.
After a painful last-second EuroLeague defeat, Fenerbahce found relief in a comfortable win over Besiktas (95-80) in the BSL. The team of Dimitris Itoudis was not particularly bothered by the penultimate place in the table of the “black eagles” fighting for relegation.
Preliminary knowledge of the ease of the game even allowed Dimitris Itoudis to rest enough of his key personnel and not include Nick Calathes, Tyler Dorsey and Costas Antetokounmpo in the starting XI.
Nigel Hayes-Davis (30 points on 9/11 shooting and 7/7 field goals plus 9 rebounds) was the standout, while Carsen Edwards (14 points on 1/6 3-pointers) was also in double digits.
The win kept Fenerbahce at the top of the BSL before taking on Armani Milano in a postponed EuroLeague clash.
