The driving atmosphere of the competition will be created by an impressive multimedia platform with a huge number of screens, lighting effects and professional sound – each game will turn into a sports show. The main tournament will be held in two stages, where everyone will play with everyone. 8 teams will advance to the playoffs, which will play according to the Olympic system.

Games will be held in a 3×3 format for two rings and will last 10 minutes of pure playing time. Teams consist of up to 10 people, while only one professional basketball player can be on the court at a time during the game. The reduced size of the court – 20 meters instead of the usual 28 meters will make the game even more spectacular.

The tournament goes beyond the usual framework of basketball, turning the game into a real sports reality show. Metropolitan Arbat Hall for a month it will turn into a basketball hub, where dynamic games, conferences, performances by artists, DJs, challenges and famous parties from the Basement community await the audience.

On March 14, registration for the draft combine tournament was opened, during which everyone can get the opportunity to join one of the teams and compete for the main prize. Similar to the annual NBA selection system, to get into the best teams, participants will have to overcome a real basketball challenge: perform several sports tests and shots, as well as play 5v5, and show their best.

The creators of the tournament are the founders of the sensational BASEMENT MOSCOW parties in partnership with Phil Kostrubov. By the way, their team will also take to the court. “We decided to make a really cool show and play by our own rules! No basketball fan will remain indifferent. See you on the floor!”, — said one of the founders of BASEMENT Sergey Mardoyan

Tickets will be available on the official website of the tournament from March 25, 2023.

Jokic may lose his chance to compete for NBA MVP award

Denver Nuggets announced Nikola Jokic He will miss at least four weeks due to left knee hyperextension.

The Serb is expected to miss all 18 matches in January and his maximum appearances this season could be limited to 64 matches. So Jokic will lose the opportunity to compete for the NBA’s main prizes – MVP and inclusion in the All-NBA, as this requires playing at least 65 games in the regular season.

Theoretically, he could return for the January 31 game against the Brooklyn Nets, which would give Nikola the opportunity to play 65 games before the end of the season, but that scenario is unlikely.

Jokic was injured in the last seconds of the first half of the match against Miami Heat (123:147) and did not return to the field after a long break. Before his injury, he managed to score 21 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds in just 19 minutes.

Jokic averaged 29.9 points, 12.4 rebounds and 11.1 assists per game this season.
