Monaco easily beat Le Portel, Day 8 from Team Mike James who no one knows when or if will return
Monaco are left without Mike James, who beat Le Portel 99-78 in a match for the French championship.
He was penalized on March 14th and today, March 21st, Mike James remains off the team. The American guard was not in the line-up for Monaco’s game against Le Portel (99-78) and no one knows when or if he will return to Saša Obradović’s team, which is poised to earn a place in the top four of the EuroLeague to back up.
James was charged with a disciplinary offense ahead of the Virtus Bologna game and there is no specific penalty for him. The American has apologized but Saša Obradović hasn’t reinstated him in the program without sharing when and if that will happen.
Right now, Eli Okombo, Matt Strazel and Jordan Lloyd are pulling the oars at point guard, with Yakuba Ouattara having 21 points (3/3 2-pointers, 5/8 3-pointers) in a comfortable win over Le Portel.
