An incredible performance by Monaco, who defeated Anadolu Efes 102-80, made the difference and took another step towards the top 8 and remaining in the EuroLeague next season.

The exclusion of the Russian teams from the continuation of the season finally put Monaco in the game of the octave. The Monegasque defeated the European champions Anadolu Efes (102:80) on Friday evening (March 11), got the difference (they lost 21 in Istanbul), played even more energetically to secure a place in the playoffs and in the EuroLeague remain for one more season as the postseason offers a second-year contract extension.

More determined, balanced, competitive and ambitious, Sasa Obradovic’s side rose to 11-13, dropping their opponents to 12-10, with Olympiakos taking a deep breath after yesterday’s away loss to Alba Berlin and now gaining the quartet and the home advantage. Alfa Dialo is great (19 points, 6/8 two points, 2/4 three points, 1/1 shot, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, 30 ranking), in absolute zero is Shane Larkin, 16th has played: 53 .

See here how the ranking of the regular lesson is formed.

The race

With more balance early in the game, Monaco built a small four-point lead (13-9) while Ataman Mitsic held on in the role of sixth player. Diallo (8p.) and Thomas scored 22:15 against the Turks, who lacked two-pointer efficiency and were trying to make the time when Larkin was down to zero after eight minutes.

The Monegasques went into the second half with a 7-0 streak for 32:19, went into halftime with an 11-point lead (49:38), had 10 assists for four penalties, had Larkin in 14:33 to clean held, had controlled the game with balance and determination. And while everyone was waiting for the eruption of Efes at the beginning of the second part, Monaco simply accelerated. Diallo and Lee scored 75-56 at the end of the third period and the game was decided there.

Ataman watched from his bench with a smile as Mitsic fought everyone alone and succeeded… in a hole in the water. The hosts wanted the game more and used it to get even stronger in the octave game, qualify for the playoffs and stay in the tournament for another season.
