Monaco: Mike James’ response to Ergin Ataman’s complaints
Ergin Ataman expressed doubts about Mike James’ three shots in the final of the game against Anadolu Efes, after which the Monaco guard responded via Twitter.
Monaco have achieved what seemed extremely difficult in theory: they beat Anadolu Efes at home, covering the -21 loss in the first round match.
The culprit of the fall was Mike James, who ended up having 3/3 shots at 7.2” and taking advantage of the foul committed by Eliza Bryant to attempt a three-point shot. This whistle angered Ergin Ataman, who felt the foul on the Monaco guard was low and not when he started the move to shoot from the periphery.
“I don’t know if the final phase was a three-point foul or a classic Mike James playsaid the Anadolu Efes coach characteristically, with the Monaco guard responding via Twitter when someone shared Ergin Ataman’s position with him.
“First off, it’s a classic move of mine, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a three-shot foul. Secondly, if you yell for a foul if I go into solitary confinement, of course I will. At least try to be more discreet‘ he wrote, tellingly, on his personal Twitter account.
