Valid end. Prometheus hits LEBL semi-finals with great difficulty

The quarterfinals battle went to two wins in the series. The first match was played on 25 March in Riga, won by Prometheus (91:69) and lead the series (1:0). The second meeting, held in Estonia on April 1, was very tense. “Viimsi” had a serious fight with the favorite at home and managed to beat “Prometheus” in a sensational way in the second overtime (107:105, 2 OT) while also leveling the score in the series (1:1).
The third and decisive match was very difficult for the Ukrainian club. Weakened by injuries to key players, Prometheus started well, but then fell behind for a long time and only managed to take the lead in the 4th quarter.
The end of the match is valid. At the last minute, the Ukrainian team was leading by two points (59:57), while the Estonians made a final attack in the reserve. Viimsi’s three-pointer attempt with the siren turned out to be a bit wrong, the ball hit the rim and Prometheus luckily advanced to the semi-finals.
The Final Four will be held in Tallinn on April 7-8. Prometheus will play Tartu (Estonia) in the semi-finals. In the other duo, Kalev (Estonia) and VEF Riga (Latvia) will meet for the final.
