Erythros Asteras didn’t break a sweat ahead of Olympiakos against Mega
Red Stars scored an easy ABA League away win against Mega a few days before the game of EuroLeague Game 33 against Olympiakos.
Despite the absence of Nemanja Nedovic, Ben Bedil and Branko Lazic, Red Star didn’t have the slightest difficulty against Mega, claiming a comfortable double (78-87) as part of the ABA League Game 24 game. The difference peaked at 22 points (50-72) just before 30 minutes, while the home side managed to pull things together in the last third as the visitors threw pace.
First scorer of the winners was Ognien Dobrich with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals, while Facundo Cabasso scored a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists.
The red-whites from Belgrade now meet Olympiakos on the 33rd match day of the EuroLeague (04.06., 8 p.m.), but have no particular motivation for this game, as they were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs last year – a turn in the organization.
THE DECADES: 19-45, 36-51, 53-72, 78-87
Red Star (Ivanovic): Holland 2, Vildosa 4 (3 assists), Lazarević 5 (1), Cabasso 15 (2/5 3 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals), Mitrovic 2 (4 assists), Martin 16, Dobric 23 (3/6 threesomes, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals), Ivanovic (3 assists), Ilic 2, Markovic, Kuzmic 6, Petrusev 12 (7 rebounds)
