A dream came true for Elena Chineke when she was selected by the Washington Mystics in the second round of the 2023 WNBA Draft.
The 23-year-old (1999, 1m76) security guard, born in Thessaloniki, graduated from college University of South Florida, averaging 14.8 points, 3 rebounds and 2.4 assists over four seasons (2019-2023). Before moving to the other side of the Atlantic, Tsineke spent two years (2017-19) at Niki Lefkada while she was an international player with the Greece national team U16, U18, U20 and also with the women’s national team. to be among the twelve who took part in the EuroBasket Women 2021.
