April 8 Ukrainian club “Prometheus” won the main cup TICKETbeating Latvian club VEF Riga in the final (77:62).
Prometheus legionnaire Gian Clavell has been named MVP of the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League for the 2022/23 season. Puerto Rican legionnaire “Prometheus” played 31 games in the LABL, averaging 11.61 points per game.
The 2022/23 season in the Latvian-Estonian League ended with the victory of Prometheus. In total in 35 matches (including playoffs), the Ukrainian team has 33 victories and is just ahead of Estonia “Kalev” and Latvia VEF Riga with 6 wins. The Red and Whites also achieved the longest winning streak of the season with 22 matches.
“Prometheus” was the best team in the league in most statistical indicators. He had the most efficient attack (average of 93.74 points per game) and the best point difference. The Ukrainian club broke the season record in one game by scoring 117 points away against Keila.
The team’s players gave the most rebounds (in total, defense and offense separately), the most assists, and together they became the most effective LABL team. Additionally, Prometheus has the best average of three points and free throws. The percentage of hits from the penalty line is also at the highest level in Prometheus.
