ESAKE: The same guarantee and faster examination of the files was decided at the General Assembly.
The General Assembly of ESAKE took place on Monday, March 14th, in the presence of the President of the EEC, Vangelis Lioliou. The main axes for licensing remain unchanged, with a parallel reduction in the time to issue a final decision for each file.
After almost six hours of sitting, the ESAKE General Assembly ended on the afternoon of March 14th. For the first time in many years, the “gift” was actually presented by the President of the EWG, with Vangelis Liolios taking part in the discussion and offering his own thoughts/suggestions on how to improve the situation in A1.
On the other hand, KAE Iraklis was absent, which was not represented by any of its executives.
The strongman of the federation even indicated that in the near future he would seek harmonization of the EEC statutes with those of FIBA in order not to observe the phenomenon of issuing tickets to teams carrying a ban from the world federation .
In addition, the main axes, which has to do with the licensing of the teams, remained unchanged. For example, the amount of the guarantee (€80,000) and the minimum budget (€800,000) for the OEMs.
On the other hand, a shorter/shorter time horizon for the certificate of participation was of course decided. That means each case should be closed by the end of June so as not to observe phenomena like the teams have experienced this year – the aim is that the licensing cases do not “pull” within the season.
