Joel Ebid saw off 22 of the Serbs on 34 points in his personal duel with Nikola Jokic, however the Nuggets were superior and with a key player Bones Highland he came back from -19 and beat Philadelphia 114-110.

Joel Ebid and Nikola Jokic fought a duel at MVP level, with the former dominating the points. But looking at the big picture, the winner was second as the Nuggets brought the ups and downs to Philadelphia, going 110-114 and erasing a 19-point difference. The Sixers had a chance to send the game into overtime, but George Niang’s three-pointer at 110-113 was dead on target.

Jokic was the winners’ top scorer with 22 points on 8/16 shots, 13 rebounds and 8 assists, with Bones Highland being the key players with 21 points (and a crucial three-pointer that scored 108-110 just before the end) and Will Burton 20 points. And all of this on a night where all of the Nuggets’ key players had a negative sign on the +/- Index and all players had a positive sign, while all had at least a +10!

At the Sixers, Ebid had 34 points and 9 rebounds, James Harden had 24 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists, and Tyrese Maxi had 19 points. But on a night when the substitutes’ points were tied 48-19, it was a miracle that they claimed victory to the end.
