Murzin’s coaching staff for the Ukraine women’s national team has been announced.
The new coach of the Ukrainian women’s basketball team, Yevgeny Murzin, decided on his assistants.
Inna Kochubey and Elena Ogorodnikova will take part in the coaching staff of 57-year-old Murzin.
From 2017 to 2021, Kochubey worked as an assistant coach in the Kiev-Basket, after which he was the head coach of the Budivelnyk-NUFVSU team. A month before the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he returned to Kiev-Basket, starting to work as a coach at the academy.
Kochubey currently works as a coach at Polish club UKS Basket Aleksandrów Łódzki, where he manages the U-19 team. Kociubey also took part in the coaching staff of Srdjan Radulovic in the EuroBasket 2023 selection and will head the Ukraine U-18 team this summer.
Former Ukraine national team player Elena Ogorodnikova continued her football career, which she completed in 2019, by working in the U-20 team in 2017. She won the bronze medal of the European Championship in 2018 as part of the 3×3 team. Elena currently works as a coach at Tony Parker Academy in France.
