From April 1st, the EEC will bear all costs for games from U18 and under
At a meeting that the President of the EWG, Vangelis Liolios, had with the presidents of the federations, it was decided to cover all expenses related to the U18 and below federation matches.
Vangelis Liolios announced at a meeting with the leaders of the EWG unions on Tuesday 15th March that he would cover the costs of referees and judges for all U18 boys’ and girls’ matches.
These costs are now no longer borne by the infrastructure of the teams, but by the federal government in the amount of around 2 million euros.
This change will come into force on April 1st, while Vangelis Liolios analyzed in the unions how it will be implemented.
The EWG Notice:
“Implementation of a major commitment by the EEC administration begins on April 1st, providing clubs with significant support for their operations and therefore for the development of the sport. From this point on, the costs of the U18 games for boys and girls for referees and judges will be borne by the EEC.
In addition, new simplifications for the unions in connection with the functioning of the associations were announced, such as the abolition of fees, creating a very extensive cost-cutting package.
The new functioning of the system was analyzed in detail yesterday (3/15) by the President of the EEC, Vangelis Liolios, the Presidents of the Local Associations and Committees in the long meeting they had in the Federation offices.
