Ukraine U-16 Women’s National Team started preparations for EuroBasket-2023
Ukraine U-16 Junior Women’s Team started preparations to participate in the European Championship in Class B. The tournament will be held in Podgorica (Montenegro) from 10 to 19 August.
The wards of Evgeny Murzin will organize two training camps. The first in Estonian Pärnu will last until 27 July, and then on 28 July the Ukrainians will play a control game with their peers in the Estonian national team.
In addition, the team will move to Kraslava, Latvia, where the final part of EuroBasket preparation will take place.
16 players were called up to the first training camp: Victoria Anisimova, Anastasia Boyarchuk, Anna Djun, Ekaterina Gavrilchik, Alexandra Gerasimenko, Ekaterina Zalevskaya, Alexandra Kachinskaya, Sofia Kiritsa, Anna Kushnirenko, Sofia Lisyuk, Elena Malymina, Svetlana Polyantseva, Daria Serednitskaya, Maria Tupa, Polina, Shevchenko Valeria.
In the EuroBasket 2023 group stage, the Ukraine U-20 team will play against the teams of Germany, Norway, Luxembourg and Estonia. The two best combined groups will continue to fight for the European Championship medals and the right to be promoted to Class A.
