BRODSKY: “I will tell you about the formation of the national team. It’s shame and desertion”
President of the Ukrainian Basketball Federation Mikhail Brodsky He evaluated the performance of the national team in the pre-qualifications of the Istanbul Olympic Games as follows:
“I can’t help but thank the men who fought for Ukraine at the tournament in Istanbul. You are our pride. Unfortunately, the national teams of Türkiye and Croatia could not pass. They were in full squad with their best players.
Our team has struggled honestly, but about our composition separately on Monday. It is not enough to say that I am ashamed, it is shame and desertion in wartime when their peers are dying on the fronts for the freedom of our Motherland. There are objectively injured, but there are other cases. It’s all Monday.”
The Ukrainian national team reached the semi-finals of the qualifying Olympic tournament, where they lost to Croatia (70:85).
