Space Canada provided 44 assists against Lebanon, setting a record in MundoBasket history
Canada’s legendary performance in the win against Lebanon (128-73) after the Canadians dished out 43 assists, a record in MundoBasket history.
Canada defeated Lebanon in the second game of Group 8 128-73 and comfortably prevailed 2/2 in the MundoBasket. At the same time, however, he made history.
The Canadians finished the game with 44 (!) assists, the best performance in the institution’s history since 1994 for which statistics are available.
At the same time, Canada set two other records: for best offensive collection in a game with 128 points (same as USA vs. Malaysia at the 1986 World Cup) and for most player with double-digit points in the same game (9), again equaling the USA, who had achieved such a feat in the 1986 game against Malaysia.
