Polytechnic-Galicia Mentor: “We must have two legionnaires”
Lviv Polytechnic-Galicia Coach Yaroslav Zubrytskyi shared his impressions of the team’s preparations for the new season in the Super League and talked about the plans for the 2023/2024 season.
“The first training went well, after the break, everyone is working out with pleasure. For myself, I looked at who approached the educational process and in what form. Some players are not ready but basically the guys are ready and they are training with pleasure. The first two circuits will focus on physical and technical training, then we will gradually work on tactics.
Previously, the team had to have two legionnaires, one of whom was signed. It should arrive on the 6th. We also have a deal with the second legionnaire, a contract has been sent to him and we have to sign this player. The positions of the legionnaires are the second and third numbers, and the fourth – fifth numbers.
Let’s see which young player we will add to the Super League team. Those who cannot make it to the Super League will play in the Major League team.
We will have two workouts. In the first training cycles, there will be more work, more physical training, fitness and gym in the stadium. We will gradually add equipment and tactical elements. We have some time – a month, but I think we will have time to prepare. We want to play with Hoverla on the 9th, on the 16th we will go to the match in Rivne and on the 20th we will hold a tournament in Ivano-Frankivsk. Therefore, we should be more or less ready by the 20th of the month.
We will try to work at the maximum level we expect from the season. Let’s see if the legionnaires will come, how they will join the team. We have a lot of new players, we have a lot of young players. Let’s see how things will turn out gradually. But I hope it’s not worse than last year,” Zubritsky said.
Politekhnika-Galicia finished the previous season, 2022/2023, in the 5th place in the Ukrainian Super League with 15 wins and 17 losses.
