New York fires Skapintsev
The National Basketball Association’s New York Knicks club expelled Ukrainian national team center Dmitry Skapintsev.
This was reportedly done to sign defender Ryan Arcidiacono instead.
It is worth noting that the contract with Skapintsev was initially signed by the Knicks with the sole purpose of keeping the Ukrainian player in the club’s farm system after a strong performance in the Summer League.
As a result, Dmitry Skapintsev will start the new season in the New York farm club, which plays in the Development League. Where can a Ukrainian theoretically be called up to the NBA team?
Let us remind you that it was previously known that Skapintsev would take part in New York’s training camp.
