Damian Lillard: ‘I believe the day will come when I will return to Portland’
33-year-old American point guard Damian Lillard He bid farewell to Portland Trail Blazers fans and expressed hope that he would return to the Oregon club in the future.
“The next phase of my life is coming to an end, I was happy to play here in Portland, I’m very sad that we never achieved our main goal together (to win the NBA). I don’t usually cry, but now I have tears in my eyes because you know I love this club, I love its fans.”
“It saddens me to leave, but I believe that one day I will return to Portland and you will forgive me for breaking your hearts and mine,” Lillard said.
