Today, October 4, the second match day of the Basketball Super League took place. “Dnepr” defeated “Zaporozhye” in Kiev.

Dnipro had a significant advantage in rebounds in the first half and won 28:15. “Zaporozhye” tried to neutralize the size advantage of the opponent by quickly moving the ball and long-distance attacks, and they succeeded due to interceptions and losses of “Dnepr” in the first quarter. However, Zaporozhye’s long-range shots did not work that day (the conversion rate was only 20%), and Dnepr, who played the ball more reliably in the second quarter, controlled the game even more, increasing its advantage to 10 points.

In the third quarter, the Dnipro team increased the difference to 16 points, but at that moment Zaporozhye managed to turn the game around and reduced the difference to 9 points before halftime and won the quarter at 18:14. Moreover, the excitement of the match returned at the beginning of the last quarter as Zaporozhye lost by only 5 points, but Dnepr calmed the game down with three consecutive long-range shots. The Cossacks fought to the end, but could not escape.

Earlier, in the first match of the game day, BIPA opened the season with a convincing win against Kryvbas.
