On October 6 at 19.30, Prometheus will play its first away match in the Latvian-Estonian league. The opponent is Estonian club Keila.
A week ago, Prometheus started the LEBL with a home win against the Vimes team (106:61).
The rival is the city of Keila, located in the northwestern part of Estonia. For rival Prometheus, last year was their first season in the elite league comprising the Estonian KML and LEBL. In the Latvian-Estonian League, Keila failed to qualify for the play-offs, and in the Estonian Championship, they lost 0:3 to Tartu Ulikool in the series at the quarter-final stage.
Like Prometheus, Keila started this season by facing the Viimsi club. Keila defeated her opponent safely on the road (90:72). American legionnaire “Keyla” Kevin Anthony Johnson had an excellent performance in this match: 31 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 10 steals and 47 points in efficiency. Keila also played the following away matches but were less successful: losses to Pärnu Sadam (66:83) and Riga Zelli (56:77).
This match will be Kayla’s first match in her home country this season. Therefore, Prometheus’ opponent will have a double motivation. Keila’s colors are guarded by Ukrainian big man Andrey Mironenko, who is the team’s best player in blocking shots.
