Bartzokas: “We could have won in regular time”
Giorgos Bartzokas stressed that Olympiacos could have finished the game in regular time, arguing that his team had improved and corrected their mistakes.
In the EuroLeague premiere, Olympiacos pulled off an epic double-header over Panathinaikos 88-78 in overtime (74-74 qa) at OAKA, with Peters, Walkup, Kanan, Williams-Goss and Milutinov performing in a terrible night.
Giorgos Bartzokas emphasized in his speech at the end of the game that the red and white team could have won in regular time.
In detail what Giorgos Bartzokas said:
“We controlled the game in the fourth third and played very good defense in overtime. Milutinov was obviously tired because we didn’t have to replace him, Fal was out.”
We dominated in overtime, we could have won the game in regulation time if Walkup’s offense hadn’t made the shot, our last shot.
We made good decisions, both offensively and in overtime. I think we’ve improved, we’ve improved again and We have improved in the game again, We found a way to improve on our mistakes, especially the ones we made in the second half of the game.”
Don’t miss the game night:
