Valery PLEKHANOV: “In Lvov everything will depend on the little things”
Zaporozhye head coach Valery Plekhanov shared the team’s preparation process for the upcoming matches in Lviv.
“Unfortunately, preparations for this bubble were disrupted due to all the players falling ill, including the coach. Some are lighter, some are heavier, but that’s about it. For this reason, the physical condition of our players raises question marks. It was difficult to prepare for a 3-day balloon under these conditions. Our rotation did not increase. I look forward to developing the talents of our young players. They need to give us rotation. However, the training process was not completed and therefore we could not cope with this task. We trust our players’ fighting qualities, their desire to achieve positive results, their character and team integrity. We are going to Lviv with these thoughts.
As for our competitors. All three teams won the starting bubble; Hoverla and Rivne did this twice. “Polytechnic” was supposed to win for the second time, but they gave the match to “Old Lutsk”. All rivals except Hoverla have two foreign players.
In this bubble, all teams are pretty much at the same level. Everything will depend on the little things – how and who will notice their strengths. We go with optimism and a desire to prove ourselves,” Plekhanov said.
“Zaporozhye” will play their next match in Lviv, where they will play against “Prykarpattya-Hoverla”, “Polytechnica-Galina” and “Rivne”. In the Super League points table, Plekhanov’s team is in 6th place with 1 win and 1 loss.
