The father of the 15-year-old who was punished by the EEC: “I apologize, I recognize the decision of the association”
The reduction of the sentence imposed on his son is requested by Manolis Hatzilambrou, who, with a publication on Instagram, accepted the reasons for the EEC’s punishment of the agent who brought him from BAOL Chios to Aris.
A few days after the EWG’s decision to punish an agent for arranging the transfer of a 15-year-old athlete, who was subsequently withdrawn from the minor national teams’ appearances, the young basketball player’s father came forward in a post on Instagram apologizing and demanding a review of the sentence imposed on his son.
“As the father of the athlete, I would like to publicly apologize for the mistake that I know a manager was involved in my son’s training, even though this is not allowed and is not going in the right direction.
It’s something that won’t happen again. I acknowledge and accept the fair decision of the EEC for the temporary exclusion of my son from the ranks of the national teams and ask the association to understand my regret and, if possible, to mitigate this punishment” were the words of Manolis Hatjilambros.
Chrysostomos Hatzilambrou was transferred from BAOL Chios to Aris at the end of August. He was born in 2008, is 1.97 meters tall and was instrumental in the development of his hometown team’s promotion to the 3rd National League.
