Prometheus will play their 4th round away match in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, on October 25 at 19.30. European cup with local club Cedevita Olympia.

By an interesting coincidence, a year ago, at almost the same part of the tournament distance (then it was the match of the 5th round) and again in Ljubljana, the rivals had their first meeting in history. Both teams desperately needed success. While Prometheus started with 2-2, the Slovenian club started with four defeats. At the end of this intense match, Prometheus’ Eurocup performance ended with 94:89, the first away win in its history.

Now the Titans are 1-2 after three rounds and Cedevita Olimpia is off to a three-loss start again. At the same time, just like a year ago, the Slovenian club cannot be called a weak team. In the opening match, Prometheus’ closest rivals in every respect were the Israeli Hapoel Tel Aviv, then the Spanish Joventud – losing only in overtime and last week in a competitive clash – against Beşiktaş in Istanbul.

Prometheus’ head coach also remembers his rival Ronen Ginsburg: “Cedevita Olimpija is a team with high expectations and there are many experienced players in the Slovenian national team. Good team”.

Prometheus’ coach thinks that the key to success is the consistent play of his players throughout the match: “We have to play like we did against London in the first quarter and against Beşiktaş in the first quarter. If we play like this throughout the match, we will win. “We must play with the same spirit as at the beginning of these matches,” he said.

Prometheus is expecting a tough matchup, but all fans of the team have reasonable hopes that it will return to winning ways.
