Wenbanyama continues to leave behind glimpses of infinite quality.
The game between the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs ended in a 117-122 win for the Texans, bringing an end to the preseason. This game was another chance for Victor Wenbanyama to show that he is the man to watch this season and that the No. 1 draft pick is not a failure.
Wenby had 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 blocks in his team’s victory.
The Frenchman gave a full-fledged recital, showing off his entire repertoire, including triples, ball handling and finishing under the rim. Also, his five blocks made it clear that he is a factor to be reckoned with on defense, despite not making much noise in that regard.
Sephen Curry (11 points) took the first jump with him, so there were some moments of laughter, but it wasn’t a very colorful duel.
