Ponceau is officially Villeurbanne’s new manager
Gianmarco Ponceco is officially the new coach of Villeurbanne after the French club announced the deal between the two teams.
Gianmarco Ponceco is TJ Parker’s replacement on the Villeurbanne bench. The news was announced through a statement from the French team, which confirmed the information that spoke of an agreement.
This makes Ponceco… a double player, because at the same time he remains coach of the Italian national team and is now supposed to carry two watermelons under his arm.
The 51-year-old technician began his coaching career as the first coach at Orlandina, followed by Varese, Fortitudo Bologna and Sassari, while in recent years he has sat on the bench of the Italian national team. Villeurbanne hopes his presence will inspire the team, which is still missing a win in the EuroLeague.
