Europa League. Valencia beat Zalgiris, Panathinaikos beat Baskonia
On October 27, the fifth round of the regular season of Europe’s most prestigious club basketball tournament took place. Four matches were played on the second day of the Euroleague.
The match day started with Valencia’s victory over Lithuanian giants Zalgiris; The “bats” managed to convincingly defeat the opponent thanks to the strong first half of the match (win by a margin of +22 points). While there was a balanced match in France, where ASVEL hosted Virtus Bologna, the guest team managed to get their fourth win in their first five matches in the Euroleague with a better ending.
Panathinaikos defeated Baskonia at home, the teams played equally in 3 quarters, but the Greeks were much more productive in the last quarter and defeated the Spaniards. While Bayern Munich was defeated at home for the first time this season, the German club also lost to Fenerbahce.
