Lesor on the video call with Abramovich: “My family, several Partizan players, now I give my sweat for Panathinaikos”
Matias Lesor, in his subscription statements after the end of the game against Baskonia, also referred to the video conversation he had with Abramović after Partizan’s win over Red Star.
Matias Lessor, who led Panathinaikos to victory over Baskonia, gave an interview to “NOVA” after the game and, among other things, referred to the video conversation he had with Abramovich after Partizan’s victory over Red Star, which caused reactions on social media.
The Frenchman put things into perspective, stressing that he had simply picked up the phone, calling many of his former teammates in Partizan “brothers” and stressing that he is now a Panathinaikos player and for whom Klee will do his best.
Significantly, he said:
“I was at home, my friend called me and I just picked up the phone. It wasn’t anything more. I was happy for them and the win. Now I play for Panathinaikos, but I will support them if they win an important victory against their biggest rival.
I don’t follow social media, but I know there was a bit of excitement. It just happened, they shouldn’t see it any other way. I feel like many of my former teammates at Partizan are my brothers. Brothers for life. Now I am a Panathinaikos player, I am here, I do what I have to do and I give the last drop of my sweat so that Panathinaikos wins.”
For his records and energy:
“I try to give my best. To give the team energy. I was just doing my job. I hope I can do even better next time.”
For Mitoglou:
“I am very happy for Mitoglou. We missed him a lot at the beginning of the season. It also gives us energy. He’s not 100% ready, he’s had some training, I know he’s playing and he’s hurting. He helped us. “He’s altruistic when it comes to rebounding and I’m glad he’s coming back.”
For quick integration of:
“I change teams every year. Last year I was on two teams for the first time. I’m used to changing teams, fans, coaches, organizations. I’m used to it. I don’t know why this happens. Maybe.” I like to travel.
About the game against Olympiakos:
“Yes, we have a big game ahead of us. They beat us in OAKA in front of our fans, they beat us in the Super Cup and we want revenge. This victory could give us more energy. We know what this victory means to our fans.”
