Today, October 29, the central match of the Latvian-Estonian League took place, where two finalists of the tournament last year “Prometheus” and “VEF” met.

At the opening of the match, the “giants” left their opponent in an extremely difficult situation. Without exaggeration, the opening quarter can be called Marcus Keane’s quarter: 5 consecutive shots from behind the arc and 18 points in total. “Prometheus” constantly led the scoring and deservedly won the ten-minute period (28:19). At the start of the N2 quarter, Ronen Ginzburg’s team further increased their handicap thanks to the performances of Rashard Kelly and Ronald March. The teams entered the long break with a “+13” handicap, which was comfortable for the Ukrainian club.

After a long break at the opening of the third quarter, the teams’ performance dropped to a minimum. Although “Prometheus” kept its opponent at bay, “VEF Riga” left itself a chance to win with its 8-0 lead in the last one and a half minutes of the quarter.

In the 34th minute, Latvia’s top club reduced the gap to 53:54. The level of intrigue has reached boiling point. The end of the match reflected Prometheus’ vast experience in winning and the high class of the team. Despite tremendous efforts, the “giants” managed to win with a score of 70:66.
