Valencia defeated Alba and remains at the top of the EuroLeague standings

Valencia continued its excellent run in the EuroLeague by defeating Alba 79-71 for its fifth win in six games. At 1-5 the Berlin team.

With the 79:71 win against Alba Berlin, Valencia remains at the top of the EuroLeague standings.

Sammy Ojeleghe was the man of the match, but Harper, Jones and Brandon Davis also had excellent games and scored in double figures.

The Spaniards improved to 5-1, while the German team recorded one win and five losses in as many games.


On the following matchday, Valencia travels to Italy to play against Armani in Milan (9/11, 9:30 p.m.), while Alba Berlin hosts Panathinaikos (10/11, 9:00 p.m.).

The race

A particularly one-sided game took place in Spain between Valencia and Alba Berlin, with both teams close to the score and the hosts leading by two points at half-time (41:39). The main protagonist of the team from the Iberian Peninsula’s offensive actions was Semi Ojeleghe, while Matt Thomas and Luis Olidi provided the goal solutions for the Germans. Both teams shot well from the perimeter in the first half, although their accuracy inside the three-point line was not the same.

The pace in the third period wasn’t particularly high, the two teams kept pace and exchanged the lead one after the other. Accuracy rates fluctuated at low levels and so did scores. In the fourth quarter, however, Valencia prevailed and, with Semi Ojeleghe as the protagonist, accelerated and celebrated its fifth win of the tournament (79-71).

Denver Nuggets announced Nikola Jokic He will miss at least four weeks due to left knee hyperextension.

The Serb is expected to miss all 18 matches in January and his maximum appearances this season could be limited to 64 matches.
