The women’s national basketball team was defeated in Italy in the first game of qualifying for EuroBasket 2025
The women’s national team fought as hard as they could, but lost to Italy (76-65) in Vigevano in the premiere of the qualifying phase of EuroBasket 2025.
The women’s national team’s journey into the qualifying phase of EuroBasket 2025 began with an away defeat against Italy (76:65), but they have secured their participation in the event as hosts and are currently preparing for it.
Artemis Spanou stood out with 21 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 40 minutes, but from then on Petros Prekas didn’t see any of his athletes in really good shape, as Christinaki, Stamolambrou and Pavlopoulou were completely out of place. Chubai (18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists) and Zandalacini (15 points, 9 rebounds) were the hosts’ leaders.
