Dnepr beat Rivne in the fight for leaders in the Basketball Super League
Dnieper got its eighth win in the regular season Super LeagueBeat Rivne-OShVSM at home with a score of 83:73.
The guest team, which started the match in second place in the rankings, shocked Dnepr by starting the match strongly. The player, who converted 4 of 7 long shots in Dnepr, made 4 interventions and made 5 turnovers, won the first quarter in the Super League at 21:14.
In the second quarter, Dnepr tied the game, reducing the gap several times in one attack, but each time Rivne gained an advantage of 5-8 points. Mikhail Pereverziy’s team ran well in the first half, tackling and attacking aggressively, resulting in many free throws. Although Dnepr had a double advantage in rebounds, they were not successful in many aspects of defense. This made the home team’s coach Vladimir Koval nervous and he was sent off the field for two technical fouls before the big break.
It is not known what Vladimir Koval said to his team during the long break, but Dnepr took control of the game by making a 10-0 spurt at the beginning of the third quarter. The Dnipro team increased its speed, aggression and played more reliably in defense – it was only Joyner who kept Rovno in the game, scoring 13 points out of 19 team points in the third quarter.
4 minutes before the end of the ten-minute period, Joyner’s long shot made the score equal for the last time: 56:56. Dnepr then started to gather its advantage and smoothly won the match in the last quarter.
Dnepr’s best player was captain Stanislav Timofeenko, who added 9 rebounds to his 20 points. In Rovno, Joyner scored 18 points and Romelu Smith scored 14 points with 8 rebounds.
Dnepr won its eighth match in a row and remained unbeaten in the championship. Rivne suffered its third defeat. On November 11, Rivne-OShVSM on the Dnieper will play against Krivbass.

Croatian “Zadar” reported on its official website the transfer of a basketball player from the Ukrainian national team Ivan Tkachenko.
After a short trial period during which the Ukrainian player met the requirements of the coaching staff, a contract was signed with him at the end of the season.
The club has already announced that Tkachenko will participate in the Adriatic League and the Croatian Championship, so the Ukrainian can make his debut for the new team in the local championship match against Kvarner on December 27.
Tkachenko did not sign a contract with any club at the beginning of the 2025/26 season and played in only two official matches after the start of the season – as part of the Ukrainian national team, against Georgia and Denmark in November as part of the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.

“Start with me.” Doncic talked about what needs to change in the Lakers
Star player of Los Angeles Lakers Luka Doncic Against the background of the embarrassing defeat of Houston Rockets (96:119), he explained what the team had to change to improve the results:
“I don’t know exactly what needs to change, but something definitely needs to change. We need to figure it out, that’s what we need to do. Everyone should discuss it.”
I know JJ Redick said it would be disturbing. And that’s the way it should be.
As I said, we need to discuss this. It may be uncomfortable, but everyone needs to try harder, starting with me.
We just have to challenge each other. Everyone should challenge themselves and their teammates. “There’s no way to play the way we play, so we’ve got to be better than that.”
