PAOK overtook Patras against Apollon with a dream debut for Justin Alston

A victorious pass from Patras for PAOK, with Fotis Takianou’s team defeating Apollo (67-54) with Justin Alston as the star in his debut with the Thessaloniki team.

The American center achieved a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds in his first appearance with his new team and led the black and whites to victory.

PAOK improved to 3-3, Apollos remains with a positive result after six games.

Kendall Smith also made his debut for the black and whites of PAOK with a good performance (10 points, 4 assists), while Kostas Delegos was on the bench for Apollon in the top division for the first time.

The race

The first part in Patras between Apollon and PAOK did not bring good laurels as both teams were particularly misguided and Fotis Takianos’ team always had the upper hand and was in the lead. Michalis Tsairelis created scoring opportunities, while newly signed Justin Alston provided valuable assists. On the home side, Chad Brown dominated the game and was the main expression of the Delego team’s offensive actions. Halftime score 32-26 in favor of PAOK.

Apollon Patras improved in the third quarter, Alston continued his excellent debut in black and white and the derby continued into the fourth quarter. There PAOK extended their lead again, Justin Alston did what he wanted on the pitch and Takianos’ team achieved victory.
