Ronen GINZBURG: “We must stop Hapoel from running and defend more aggressively”

Head coach of the Ukrainian “Prometheus” Ronen Ginsburg On the eve of the Eurocup meeting, the Israeli shared his mood against Hapoel Tel Aviv.

– Coach, how do you feel after the victory against Riga Zelli on Friday?

– First of all, winning is always good. Secondly, we played a few minutes better than in previous matches, but we are still not perfect.

– We will face a strong opponent. While two Hapoel players are among the top 5 in the Eurocup in terms of efficiency, three of their players are among the top five scorers of the tournament. Will it be a difficult match for us? What can you say about Hapoel?

“There is a lot of talent in this team, they have great back-row players, they score goals with a high percentage and in general there are a lot of quality players at Hapoel. “This team scores a lot of points, it is a quality team that plays quality games.

– You noticed that Hapoel gained a lot of points. I would even say a lot – an average of 98.6 per match – this is the second figure in the EuroCup. What are the top 3 teams with the best offense of the tournament (Paris, Hapoel and London) doing in our group A? How do we need to play to beat a team with such an offense?

“First of all we have to stop them from running because when they run they will have very easy points. This is first and foremost. Secondly, we have to be more aggressive defensively. We know the players, we know what each of them can do. However, the most important task for us is to stop their fast attacks.
