Kanzouris’ Limoges was penalized with the deduction of three wins and a fine
Ilias Kanzouris’ Limoges had three wins canceled and a €15,000 fine imposed after irregularities were found in the balance sheets for the previous two years. The club has lodged an appeal.
Bad luck for Ilias Kantzouris, who saw his and his team’s efforts backfire in the French league after the LNB sports referee handed down a three-win ban and a €15,000 fine in Limoges.
The reason concerns irregularities discovered in the club’s balance sheets in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons. Somehow, the 6 victories Limoges achieved in the first 11 games of the championship become 3. However, the team has started an appeal process.
