Alleyne was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in 2016 and has made seven appearances in the WNBA. Her previous career stop was Elizur Ramla in Israel.

The announcement in detail:

Panathinaikos AO announces the start of its partnership with Jillian Allen for the remainder of the 2023-24 women’s basketball season.

The association has taken an important transfer step to strengthen itself even further within the club. American Jillian Allen, who plays center, will take Courtney Range’s place in the squad as there is a limit of three foreigners.

Jillian Allen (29, 1.90 m) is attractive as both a scorer and rebounder and averaged 20 points and 17 rebounds in Ramat Gan last season.

In a statement to pao1908.com she said: “I am happy to come to Greece for Panathinaikos.” The team has made very good progress in both the EuroCup and the Greek League and I hope that I can still contribute to that to get higher. I can’t wait to be in Greece and join the team. I was impressed by the support of the fans and I want to experience that experience too.”
