As boss in Patras, Prometheus defeated Apollon by a margin of 38 points
After losing to Olympiakos, Prometheus returned to its factory settings and defeated Apollo by an impressive 106-68. Leader Hunter Hale with 25 points.
Prometheus performed miracles against Apollon and won with a convincing 106:68 in the local derby of Patras, which only looked like a derby in the first quarter.
Hunter Hale once again had an impressive performance, scoring 25 points (4/7 2-pointers, 5/8 3-pointers, 2/3 shots), 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Cameron Reynolds followed with 14 points, Anthony Cowan with 13 points, 5 assists and Antonis Koniaris – Chris Coffey with 11 each. Linos Chrysikopoulos stopped at 10.
On the losing side, Desmond Washington had 20 points, 4 assists and 5 turnovers. Chad Brown posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Vassilis Mouratos stuck with the 14 points he scored in the first period.
Ilias Papatheodorou’s team now rose to 5-2, while Kostas Delegko’s team fell to 1-6, putting them above Karditsa, who have yet to win the championship.
The race
Prometheus was +6 (13-7) after 3:30 minutes. Apollonas took the lead for the first time with 5΄ (15-16), while the home team took the lead with a short header at the end of the period (28:27, 10th), despite the 14 points already scored by Vassilis Mouratos .
Shortly before the 15th minute, Ilias Papatheodorou’s team had a double-digit difference (44:34), while they went into the break with 15 points (61:44, 20th minute) and had more solutions in attack. But Hunter Hale and Cameron Reynolds stood out with 15 and 11 points, respectively, in the first half. The gap opened up to 30 points (80-50) in the 29th minute and there was no looking back.
