Spyros Cavalieratos spoke on “The Show Must Go on” with Pantelis Diamantopoulos about Naz Mitrou-Long, who is a target for Olympiakos, as well as the case of Philip Petrusev.

Olympiakos Piraeus wants to add Naz Mitrou-Long to its team and Spyros Cavalieratos spoke to Pantelis Diamantopoulos on the show “The Show Must Go on”, where he explained the reasons why Giorgos Bartzokas chose the 30-year-old guard, but also what he means happened in the case of Philip Petrusev.

Specifically, Zalgiris Kaunas does not want to keep the player, which Olympiakos Piraeus was informed of and took immediate action. Mitrou-Long is on the Reds’ radar anyway due to a pass, and there is no question of acquiring him other than signing him as a free agent, which is expected to be on a 1.5-year contract.

Olympiacos do not need a player to fill the void left by Nigel Williams-Goss, who will be out for a month as Mitrou-Long cannot play immediately. In the EuroLeague he has the right to participate from January 2nd, while in the Stoiximan Basket League he cannot compete because he has not yet received an ID card.

It will take time and this will happen from 2024. We remind you that his brother Elaitza, who plays for Peristeri bwin, has already received an ID card.

Bartzokas gave up and considered this solution preferable, which will also help in the domestic competitions since Olympiacos has a problem with the locals.

As for Petrusev, he is Barzokas’ chosen one and Olympiacos is waiting for his release. The Kings’ many problems are holding them back a bit, but it seems unlikely that they won’t let him. Once this is done, Olympiacos will sign him on a 2.5-year contract.

At the same time, Williams-Goss’ recovery is going better and he could be back sooner.
