Official: Naz Mitrou-Long has been at Olympiakos for three years

Naz Mitrou-Long (30, 1.93 m) is the new member of Olympiakos, as was officially announced on Tuesday evening, November 21st. The Red and Whites have formalized the agreement with the 30-year-old guard, who is moving from Lithuania to Greece, which will be his “home” for the next three years.

“KAE Olympiacos announces the acquisition of Naz Mitrou-Long. The Canadian Guard will wear the colors red and white“for the next three years” refers to the corresponding announcement by KAE Olympiacos.

The possibility of obtaining a Greek passport by the end of the year (shortly after his brother Elaitza) played an important role in the final decision, as Olympiacos does not have to go through another decision-making process for foreigners playing in the Stoiximan Basket League. On the other hand, it is of course worth noting that the newly acquired guard will not be eligible to participate in the EuroLeague until the final of the first round of the competition.

Based on EuroLeague regulations and the relevant existing transfer window, Naz Mitrou-Long is eligible to take part in the competition against Armani Milano on January 2, 2024 in the colors of Olympiakos.
